Recently for a class asignment, I was required to read any non-fiction book that deals with the topic of business management. I knew of the perfect one, It’s Not About the Coffee: Lessons on Puttin People First from a Life at Starbucks by Howard Behar (former CEO of the company). I knew it was the one I would read because I did not have to buy a new one- I had bought it at the bookstore months before for $3, a steal.
Even though he wrote it from having experience at Starbucks, its a great read for any person that deals with customers on a daily basis. In the book he had listed Ten Principles of Personal Leadership, each principle has some sort of value when it comes to putting people first before a sale. Without the people, you cannot do business anyway.
Like any business, in the car business, customers are everything. The dealership cannot survive if the traffic isn’t coming into the showroom. Here at Thomas Team Honda we strive for customer service excellence, and you can see this in the various reviews we get on www.dealerrater.com after each sale. I will post the Ten Principles in a later post.
